BetterServiceBlog.com announced the launch of their new web site today. The blog was started by Allan Ward as a resource for service businesses.

“We want to help people who sell services learn how to sell those services better,” said Allan. “Whilst there’s a lot of marketing information available to help people sell products, when it comes to services, they’re a lot more intangible and different methods work. When I looked around the web I found very little information that specifically dealt with selling services.”

www.BetterServiceBlog.com features a range of articles dealing with various aspects of selling services, and the list is growing. It also includes a bookstore which features a range of books that deal with selling services or knowledge. The booklist is based on our years of experience and reading –we’ve put together our recommended reading list and people can buy those books via Amazon.com.

Allan has over 20 years experience in the financial services industry and currently runs a financial planning business in Adelaide, South Australia. “I’ve always enjoyed business coaching and helping other service businesses grow. A lot of the information we write about in the blog is based on our real-life experience and are things we’re currently doing in the financial planning business,” says Allan.

“Unfortunately a lot of people who sell services don’t understand the full extent of the value they provide. Through the blog we’ll help them learn how to make the benefits of their service or knowledge become more tangible to clients, and how to sell the value of their services.”

Over time the site will expand to include teleseminars and webinars, an online forum where members can discuss marketing ideas, and a range of podcasts and e-books.
